Oh YUM, YUM, YUM! This one just hit my radar, but it’s been live since Feb 18. If you’re interested, don’t delay.
Stanford Impact Labs is recruiting an energetic Program Manager to work on a new initiative called Local Impact Labs. This initiative is a key component of a new, multi-year partnership led by the Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF), working with Stanford Impact Labs (SIL), the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford (d.school), and Joint Venture Silicon Valley (JVSV).
The Program Manager is an integral member of the SIL team who will be responsible for designing and managing the Local Impact Labs program, with high-level exposure to faculty, community members, funders, and our nonprofit and government partners.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree, 5 years of relevant experience (or combo of education and relevant experience), plus a somewhat daunting list of knowledge, skills, abilities and personal attributes. If you come close to fitting the bill and have a passion for the real-world implementation of research insights through research-practice partnerships, apply!
What I love
EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY…
First, working at Stanford has been a highlight of my career, and I wish this experience for anyone who’s a fan.
Second, the mission and approach of SIL represents a new model for public impact (pay attention to what’s described).
Third, you’d be helping shape a new program (ahem, builders!).
Fourth, the partnership that supports this program is world-class. Full-stop. I find mind-blowing the mentoring, learning, and networking you’d enjoy in return for the contribution you’d be making. Quivering with excitement for the person who lands this job!
And don’t forget…
You can follow this org, read about its team, and follow the team members whose profiles inspire you. This is a great way to build communal genius (aka your social impact scenius)!
