These two opportunities crossed my desk thanks to a signal boost from the wonderful Jessica Yinka Thomas, Director of NCSU’s Business Sustainability Collaborative.
Pending final approval, the Wharton Social Impact Initiative (WSII), led by Sandra Hunt and Katherine Klein, is seeking to hire:
An Impact Research Associate to assist in data collection, management, and analysis regarding the practice and performance of impact investing, social entrepreneurship, and related topics; and
An Impact Program Associate to assist in executing experiential learning programs in impact and sustainable investing, social entrepreneurship, and/or purpose-driven business.
What I love
WSII is a cross-disciplinary center working to strengthen the role of business in creating a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable global economy.
You’ll have unparalleled exposure to world-class impact investors, entrepreneurs, executives, faculty, alumni, and other industry thought leaders and their diverse perspectives about the challenges (and solutions) in using business as a force for good.
You’ll be supporting Penn and Wharton undergraduate students, graduate students, and PhD candidates who are asking themselves questions like this. Helping others on their journey to social impact can be so rewarding!
As you support these students on their journey, you’ll be deepening your own social impact practice exponentially. If you’re pursuing an impact-driven career, this would be an excellent foundational experience to launch it.
Tip!
Before applying, spend some time with the social impact stories on WSII’s website and in its monthly podcast. This could elevate the application you end up crafting.
Don’t forget…
You can follow this org, read about its team, and follow the team members whose profiles inspire you - a great way to build your social impact scenius!
