As it launches from an embedded, yet independent program at the Haas Jr. Fund, to a more autonomous, multi-foundation supported entity, The LeadersTrust is looking for its new Executive Director.
Building on a 15-year history as a core program of the Haas Jr. Fund under the leadership of Senior Director, Linda Wood, The LeadersTrust currently works in partnership with 5 foundations and 75+ national consultants to invest in equity-centered and strategic organizational and leadership capacity of more than 100 social justice organizations across the country.
Its new ED will develop a committed advisory board and nurture a culture of learning, co-creation, and co-investment that supports innovation, leadership practices, field alignment, and impact. The ideal candidate for this role has at least 10+ years of experience in a combination of social sector entrepreneurship, leadership development, and organizational impact, as well as lived experience with vulnerable communities, among other qualifications. Salary is $190K.
What I love
The Haas Jr. Fund and The LeadersTrust’s fiscal sponsor, Tides, are both very respected organizations. The former is a private family foundation established in 1953, and the latter is a philanthropic partner and nonprofit accelerator started in 1976 by social entrepreneur, Drummond Pike.
The job description for this new role (love new roles!) is appropriately deep, i.e., lots of helpful info to weigh the opportunity, and the piece of work described is ambitious.
