Executive Director
The Center for Climate Crime Analysis seeks an Experienced Professional (Remote)
Wow, this nonprofit hit my radar today and drew me in. Climate crime analysis? I’m here for it! Based in the Hague and founded by Reinhold Gallmetzer, who is the current Chairperson and a former International Criminal Court prosecutor, CCCA is a wonderfully diverse, geographically dispersed team of lawyers, data scientists, remote sensing analysts, anthropologists, and environmental engineers working globally to support and scale up climate action, and they’re looking for a new leader.
Ohhh I’m excited for this person! CCCA’s mandate and methodology are weighty (listen to the short video below and you’ll have a sense of the substance), and the org’s expertise is broad, ranging from work with indigenous communities, to domestic, transnational and international law enforcement, to geospatial imaging and remote sensing, to strategic human rights and climate litigation.
What I love…the Board you’ll be reporting to is seriously muscular. And, generally speaking, the opportunity seems anchored in the #futureofwork. A few examples…It’s a work-from-anywhere role. Partnerships are central to CCCA’s business model, thus a strong value is placed on deep listening and co-creation. And I notice the Director of People, Finance and Culture, Joel Rache, is excited about developing CCCA “towards an ecosystem organization.” No salary transparency, unfortunately, but I’m guessing Reinhold or Joel could be helpful if you’re a serious and qualified candidate.
An aside: I was feeling pretty resolute about not curating jobs for you that don’t share salary info, but given that our collective house is on fire, I’ve relaxed that requirement (for now) and am noodling other ways to nudge this important change. Stay tuned. ;)
