Deadline: April 30
I was hoping to post a Peace Corps opportunity this morning, because I love what this org stands for (service), but frankly the job description sucked. No heart. No humanity. Which is ironic given Peace Corps’ mission.
And then I stumbled across Threespot. An absolute no-brainer to switch gears. Different type of org, yes, but same service orientation. Threespot describes itself as an independent digital agency hell-bent on helping those, and only those, who are committed to helping others.
Of course, this is easy to say, not always easy to pull off, given the demands of business in a VUCA world. Looks like this team is pulling it off, though. You can take a peek at its client work here.
Threespot’s Digital Producers run digital strategy, website, and web-based application design and development projects. You bring to this role 1-2 years of related experience, empathetic leadership, a passion for creating change, and a commitment to people, teams, and getting things done.
What I love
“Our mission is revolution” and “activism isn’t accidental.” I’m here for the fire in their website copy!
Threespot is a Certified B Corps. Not sure what this is? Read more here. This incredibly rigorous certification shows they’re walking their “business for good” talk.
And it seems like the agency has been evolving since its founding in 1999 (a sign that it should be around for another 20 years). I like hearing that some serious soul-searching has prompted some serious course corrections, e.g., the founders deciding to interrupt the agency’s own status quo by promoting Liz Ott to President. Liz is an uber-credentialed and accomplished Black leader who has been helping build Threespot for the past 11+ years.
Don’t forget…
You can follow this org, read about its team, and follow the team members whose profiles inspire you - a great way to build your social impact scenius!
