The more I dug into this role, the more excited I got! JFFLabs is the innovation engine of Jobs for the Future (JFF), a national nonprofit building educational and economic opportunity for underserved populations in the US.
JFFLabs partners with visionary entrepreneurs, Fortune 500 companies, and investors to foster innovative solutions and accomplishes its work through 5 workstreams: Impact Acceleration, Incubation, Investment, Innovation Networks, and Corporate Leadership.
Led by Kristina Francis, the JFFLabs team is recruiting for a new role within the Corporate Leadership workstream that will shape, expand, and lead JFF’s Corporate Action Platform, an initiative designed to support senior HR and CSR leaders at Fortune 1000 companies in putting employee development, advancement, and equity at the forefront of business priorities.
The JFFLabs team is looking for an Associate Director who is excited about taking its private sector strategy and approach to community building to the next level. You are a strategic problem-solver, entrepreneurial community and partnership builder, and mission-driven leader who is passionate about JFF’s mission. Salary is described as competitive and location appears to be flexible, i.e., Boston, DC, Oakland, or remote.
If you decide to apply, I’d spend at least an hour exploring JFF’s Corporate Leadership work stream, including its product and services, paying particular attention to the Impact Employer Model. So much good thinking here!
What I love
“This is a chance to build something big, meaningful, and lasting, and to do so alongside a growing, entrepreneurial team.” Ground floor opportunities can be such amazing sandboxes for experimentation!
The Corporate Action Platform that you’d be leveling up already has an initial community of 300+ corporate leaders. I imagine this growing group of changemakers would teach and stretch you A LOT.
The Director you’d be reporting to, Laura Roberts, looks extremely capable. I see in her bio long-standing commitment to JFF’s mission and strong, related experience, e.g., The Rockefeller Foundation.
Don’t forget…
