“This isn’t your ordinary internship.” X - the moonshot factory of Alphabet - is a team of inventors, scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs working to make 10X progress against the world’s toughest problems.
X is scouting a summer intern(s) who wants to be positively challenged and pushed professionally. In this role, you’ll work one of X’s confidential or public X projects.
You have a BS in Computer Science or similar technical field of study (or equivalent practical experience), know one or more programming languages, and are enrolled in an academic program working towards an Undergraduate or Master's degree.
The internship is paid, offers benefits, and lasts 12-14 weeks (May-June 2021).
What I love
You’ll be able to (virtually) attend colloquium and discussions with team leads from across Google, DeepMind and external organizations.
You’ll be encouraged to fall in love with the problem, not the technology. (The team seeks deep understanding of problems that affect millions of people so they can explore creative new approaches to help solve them.)
There’s no such thing as a “typical day” at the factory.
Everything they do requires teams of people with diverse perspectives and backgrounds. (And, to that point, they consider qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories.)
Don’t forget…
You can follow this org, read about its team, and follow the team members whose profiles inspire you - a great way to build your social impact scenius!
